At nine months you:
~are est. 23 lbs and 28 inches, last we measured (pedi appt next week for official stats)
~are crawling and cruising everywhere
~are pulling to stand on anything you can, letting go for a few seconds, and within the past week, you have taught yourself to bend those knees and have gentle landings on your toosh, verses just letting go and falling;)
~keep mama VERY busy (and tired) keeping up with you. You are ALL over the place, and you don't miss a thing!
~love to look under mama's rugs and find the rug stoppers
~think its funny to rip off your bibs, we don't even try to put them on anymore
~started "walking" while pushing an empty diaper box, so mama bought you a walker, and we are working on that
~have a new found interest in many, if not all of your toys. You are very interested in their functions, bang and turn all the buttons, etc. One of them will keep you interested only for a little bit and then you are on to the next thing.
~you definitely understand object permanence and LOVE playing peek-a-boo! You look for us when we hide and pop out behind a wall or the couch, and we get lots of grins and giggles=)
~love playing "upside down baby", mama or daddy turn you upside down and you just give the biggest smiles
~started doing "acrobatics" as we call them, after playing upside. We turn you upside down, then you put your hands down on the ground, bring your head out and up and we flip you over! You love it and once we start, you just want to do it over and over again!
~still love to go outside and swing
~started watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sesame Street, and Cat in the Hat. Many times when the shows ask you questions, you answer on cue!!! That's my girl!!!
~are still saying ma, da, ah da, etc. We are working on mama and dada. Hopefully we will hear those sweet sounds soon!
~started imitating us, so we are working waving Hi, Bye bye, and other things.
~have mastered the "pinch and grasp" and are feeding yourself yogurt melts! SO cute!
~are a clapper! You clap for yourself when you successfully feed yourself, when mama and daddy say "yay Cate," and clap for you, other random times, and you clap for Bernie when he walks by;)
~finally drank a 4oz serving of mommy's milk out of your sippy yesterday!! PROGRESS!
~have had a bit of a change up in your sleeping patterns, most likely due to teething, growth spurt, and being so active, but after a couple of months on and off, we are getting back on track! Thank goodness=) Your bedtime is still the same, 7pm, waking a time or two during the night, and napping 3 times a day.
~are still following the same eating schedule, and nursing 5 times a day
~are in 18 month clothes, size 4 diapers
We love you SO much sweet girl! This past month has been busy, tiring, and yet Oh SO much FUN!! Some days mama is SO tired and worn out from keeping up with you, but I see your sweet face and smile, hug and squeeze you so tight, kiss your sweet cheeks, and am so thankful and blessed to have you! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!
Your 9 month pedi appointment is this next Thursday, and we can't wait to see what your stats are and what Dr. T. has to say about you=) My guess is, "Good job Mom! We've got a healthy baby here!=)" Pedi appointment update coming soon!
