"Punkin Match" - take 2

Annnnnd "Punkin Match" take two...
 she liked the "baby" punkins

 Look mama a bumpy punkin
 taking a rest, I guess

 happy Dada is here!!!
 lots of big punkins

the best way to go through the punkin match
We actually got a few pictures together
more fun scarecrows, and a baby BUMP

 hugging her punkin

and playing in the straw is WAY more fun than picking out a punkin!

Also, I should note, Cate's favorite part of this whole experience was getting a punkin sticker when we bought our pumpkin. Go figure!

"Punkin Match" ...take one

We tried to hit up a few local pumpkin patches (or "punkin match" as Cate calls them) over the weekend, (because we just didn't feel like driving an hour out to Sweetberry, BUT you can bet we will next year!!) and we didn't have much luck. They were pretty picked over, being it was the last weekend of October. But that was ok, since Cate really wanted nothing to do with the big pumpkins...
Dada, let's get out of here...

but wait, look at these fun little scarecrows...

Scarecrows are WAY more fun than pumpkins...

aren't they?

Good news is Dada had to go through Round Rock on his way to a meeting yesterday, and he found the jackpot of a "punkin match", so we met him there in the afternoon!! They had some of the biggest pumpkins I have ever seen...Dada saved the day! Punkin match, take two=)

Crowe's Nest Farm

This past weekend we ventured out to Crowe's Nest Farm. We hadn't been but heard good things about it, so decided to check it out...
Cate would not look at me in ANY of these pictures...I mean, why would a two year old stand still and smile at the camera?!?

 Rahhhhh!
 checking out the gourds...
looking up...
 sticking out her tongue...

 Hi donkey!
There were lots of hawks and owls...

This was a much better way to view the farm...

One of the animals she actually liked...

We ended the tour of the farm with a hayride to see the bison, and ostriches...

and Cate was hiding from them...
