No words...
I was going to share things I love about fall now that it actually feels like fall here, but I can't, maybe another time. We found out this evening that a friend of ours, Lindsay, went to heaven yesterday after a brief battle with cancer. There are simply no words. All I can do is pray for her husband, her precious 10 month old baby girl, and her family. Knowing that she is no longer in pain or suffering gives me peace, but my heart still hurts so much. Please keep her family in your prayers.

To the pumpkin patch we go!
This past Sunday afternoon we headed out to Elgin to the pumpkin patch! Cate wasn't very impressed by the big orange balls...but I think it was because she was zoned out by the time we got there from watching Mickey in the car. Nonetheless, she actually stood still for a little bit to get a few pics!

Fabulous find
We have discovered these...

They are absolutely fabulous! We don't have a picky eater on our hands, but if you do, definitely give these fruit squeezes a try! There are a TON of different brands, organic, non-organic, fruit, fruit and veggie combo, etc., and some brands advertise they are good for ages 4 months till toddler years and are a full fruit serving!!! I just buy whatever I find or is on sale. Cate loves them as a snack, or dessert, and they are great for on the go! Fabulous find!

Cele, and my new favorite pic
This past Friday night we met some friends for a birthday dinner celebration at the Cele Store. We've been once before with a group of friends, and it's such a fun place to go and get away from the "city" for some down home bar-b-que family style! You pretty much have to make reservations, your table is set and ready when you get there...and the live music starts at 7:30!
We decided to try to snap a few pics when we got there...
Someone reallly doesn't want to be held for pictures...
but, I was able to get a couple of good ones (out of 20 or so shots=)... this one being my newest fave...

Yikes!
I saw this yesterday and thought it was too cute, and I thought Cate would be so precious in it...

Until I saw the price...Yikes!!!
Good thing I already ordered the prefect little costume for her. It's SUPER functional for a SUPER mobile toddler, will be cool and breathable if it's a scorcher, or she can layer up if by some chance cooler weather arrives...ha!
Aren't you just dying to know what she will be?! You'll just have to wait and see!;)

Fabulous, oh SO yummy find!
So I haven't been posting too many fabulous finds here lately, (some sweet little 15 month old is keeping me a littttle busy...), but I thought I would share the most recent...

OH MY! Matt and I are both a big fan of kettle corn, the real kind like you get at fairs, farmer's markets, etc. and the boxed kind at the store (any brand) just isn't the same. This week on my trip to HEB, I saw this on an end cap and thought, hmm...looks good...totally an impulse buy! I/we had low expectations because of all the other store-bought kind out there, and well, let me just say, this stuff is FABULOUS! It tastes like the REAL thing!!! But, beware, you can easily eat half a bag (or more=) in one sitting...we sure did!=)

Weekend surprise!
That title got your attention, did it not?=) HA!
This past weekend was definitely different from what we thought it was going to be, (and no, I'm not talking about the 55-17 loss, we won't even address that.)
It all started last Friday morning, with a text from my mom that said something like, "just a thought, we could meet y'all halfway and we could keep Cate for the weekend..." My first thought was, hmmm, well that means we could actually "watch" the game, but then I was like...I just don't want to send her off for the weekend...
Long story short, and after talking with Matt, we decided YES! It would be good for Cate, and good for us. She has TONS of fun with the grandparents and her auntie, and she will have a blast, probably more fun than she would have with us!=) So off we took her for her first weekend to stay with the grandparents...and our first weekend at home without her! So what did we do?!? Whatever we wanted!
On the way back from dropping her off, we/(Matt wanted to) stopped and took a picture with Miss Pearl the Squirrel, Berdoll farms newest addition...
Crazy huh? That's one big mama squirrel! Friday evening we didn't do much, we ordered Bridesmaids off the tv, didn't like it. Saturday we went over to our friends Jonah and Catherine house to watch the game with our fellow Longhorns and their two littles. I got some sweet snuggles with their new six week old precious baby Paisley, and Wyatt missed his friend Cate=(, but I showed him videos of her on my phone and he was like, "baby Cate, baby Cate!" Too sweet!
Saturday we also picked up and cleaned up around the casa. Much overdue. We also went out and did some casual shopping for some things we needed for the coming months, and if we spent an hour or two in one store, it didn't matter...we were on OUR schedule, not the schedule of our precious 15 month old=) When Cate is with us it's go get what we need between her naps, have a plan of attack, no messin' around, get in and get out of the store while she is content, so everyone has a pleasant shopping experience! Not this past weekend, we just looked...and looked...and looked... we even did more shopping and looking after our dinner date Saturday night! Sunday...you guessed it... MORE shopping, had to exchange some things from Saturday, and the BIG highlight, we became REI members! FUN and exciting stuff I tell ya! (I also found a dress for our family pics at nordies rack! My personal highlight=)
We went to pick up Cate Sunday evening, and she was SO excited to see us. She recognized the tahoe and started running towards Matt, SO cute! AND, she gave me two real hugs! I was holding her and she would kind of push back and look at me, then put both her lil arms around me and give me big squeezes! Sweetest moment ever! A sweet surprise and I LOVED it! I really don't think she missed us until she saw us, kinda like she did when we went on our weekend get-a-way a couple of months ago, but it's better that way=) The Grandparents, auntie, and all of her other visitors she is blessed with while she is there keep her really busy and entertained, and she has TONS of fun, while mama and daddy get LOTS of things done!

Oh boy..a cool new TOY!
Take a look at the newest treasure Jojo and Grandpa Royce's found for Cate...

I think she likes it...
They brought it up Sunday and since then, Cate's been busy busy stepping up, and sliding down. She's heard us say "weeee" so many times now she makes her own high pitch "wee" sound after she slides down!
Thanks Jojo and Grandpa Royce for some new found FUN!

That's my girl!
She's already got her own fashion sense...

She put her shorts on her head like this all by herself, not once, but twice, and was running around the kitchen, going "Ahhhhhh" and stopping to check for birds and squirrels out the window. Then she would stop and look at me and just grin, like "look at me mama, I funny!!" She was definitely cracking me up!!;)
