Here is the 16 week, or 4 month, shot. No change really, but I think my waist is widening somewhere, somehow, because when I put on my warm up jackets they feel more snug than they used to, so either they are shrinking from washing every week, or I am widening/thickening a lil, maybe by next month there will be a change?? Should I do a poll on that? What month will there be a bump? Oh well. Still feelin' great. I think I have felt Baby K move. One night laying in bed I felt this thump, and I have read that this early you are more likely to feel it when you are laying still for a while. So who knows. We go to the Dr. in 2 days for our 16 week appt. and could possibly find out the gender, my Dr. likes to do an ultrasound just for fun, so fingers crossed! Otherwise we will have to wait until our 20 week appt. Looks like boy is winning in the poll, so we shall see!
Here is an update with what's going on with Baby K and me!
Excerpt from Fit Pregnancy: (my comments in parenthesis)
Your baby weighs about 2.8 ounces and is about 4 1/2 inches from crown to rump—roughly the size of a small gerbil. At any time, you will begin to feel fetal movement as your baby's bones harden, (which I think I have felt)and she starts a big growth spurt. Your baby has plenty of room: At this point, she could fit in the palm of your hand. This is a great time to be a fetus.( LOL a "great" time to be a fetus?!?! ) At any given time, she might be playing with the umbilical cord, which she's now able to grasp, putting her thumb in her mouth, or kicking at the amniotic sac. Since you have almost a cup of amniotic fluid in your uterus, your pelvic area will feel heavy and firm.(which is does feel that way) You're also carrying all the extra poundage your body's putting on that can be attributed to extra blood and fluid volume, your placenta and baby's support systems, and enlarging breasts (true, true). It's normal to be gaining a pound a week at this point. (ah!!)
