First Sea World, then the Zoo. I think we had our fill of animals for a while.
Mr. Bear was sleeping, someone threw an acorn at him, and he woke up...
lots of pointing...
not so sure about the view of the hippos...
she's telling the alligator/croc to "chomp chomp"
She liked seeing the elephants...
and riding them...
she did lots and lots of looking
and looking
and of course stopped to have a snack=)
then rode "izzy" (lizards)
and rode the train! We caught her with her eyes closed on the train...
so it was time to head out after that! She was one tired girl!
All in all it was a very successful weekend trip to a fun city.
And just a little fyi...With a toddler in tow, I suggested we stay in a
townhouse I found on HomeAway. It was definitely the way to go! The place was perfect, plenty of room for Cate to run and play. She had so much fun playing chase and running around the place, she probably could have just made a weekend of doing that! The house was way more spacious that we expected and we could have definitely stayed longer than a couple nights there. Highly recommend it, and way better than staying in a one room hotel! The house was very close to the zoo and about a 20 min drive to Sea World, had an IHOP three miles away, and there was a very good mexican restaurant with seriously the best mariachi band I have ever heard just up the block. We ate there one night and ordered food in the next, so we could just relax in our spacious abode and watch the Texas game=) Now if only Texas would have shown up this past weekend...=/
